I am forever changed.
This is, hands down, without a doubt, the greatest show I will ever see in my entire life. A great performance from every single act that came on that stage. Kudos to Romeo Santos for putting all the greats of bachata history on one album and putting on a show to perform the songs AND at least one of their classics. I cried, I laughed, I screamed...I lost my voice. I thought the Aventura reunion would be the highlight of the night but honestly, Monchy & Alexandra took that title from me. Hearing Hoja En Blanco, the song that most people credit as the reason they began loving bachata, was the greatest experience. I cannot rave enough; Romeo needs to put together a video of the show!!!!
Venue is terrible to get out of. My hotel was across the street and it took two hours for my Uber driving to get to us for a 6 minute ride. You can’t walk because you’re in the middle of the highway. The historic show we’d just witnessed made us feel way better about the disaster that was getting home.
